This is the date that every man and woman on Earth awaited in awe. The fate of mankind has been sealed. The planets have aligned as never before. The everpresent mystic energy is now visible to the human eye - an energy force of such an inordinate magnitude, causing a cataclysmic event, opening gigantic gates throughout the multiverse into Earth.

Past

Twelve years ago, the tension between Earth nations erupted in a bloody conflict. At this time a rare planetary alignment occurred, causing never before seen natural disasters. The unprecedented amount of psychic energy from fear, hate and desperation, overloaded and erupted, tearing up space.

The first gate opened in Los Angeles and many smaller ones followed around the world. Gates to the Multiverse. Unspeakable horrors invaded the planet and wreaked havoc everywhere. The Nations made peace with each other as soon as they realized they now had a common enemy. Armies around the world hunted the monsters for years.

Humanity survived, but we paid the price. From the battle, a hero arose, and with his lead, the Codename Chimera was born.

Went through countless surgeries and gene modifications to be able to protect humanity from the horrors of outer space. Now you are the newest addition to the warmachine, to take down an enemy that you have never seen before and bring peace to everyone on Earth.

Activate

Mint one Unique Chimera from the 10101, every one of them are generated by using a little more than a hundred body parts. There are no color variants, all Chimeras are made equal. In addition, when a Chimera is minted, three physical attributes are generated randomly to define the Chimera combat capabilities. And there is one hidden attribute that activates when a Chimera reaches a certain age.

Feed

At “Uncle Wat’s Bazaar” you can buy delicious treats for your Chimera. With the consumption of every meal, the Chimera combat attributes are permanently improved, meaning your Chimera NFT is upgraded and becomes more valuable and stronger. There are special, insanely strong treats for those Chimeras whose attributes are weaker than expected.

Fight

Chimeras are extremely aggressive, their training is exhausting but not enough to not look after a good challenge or a fight. A Chimera can create a fight, waiting for a challenger and use defensive attributes against it. Or go look for trouble, bringing all the offensive attributes to a fight. A battle between two Chimeras is quick and brutal, and the winner takes all. The victor consumes the loser’s flesh and their attributes are boosted permanently and significantly. While the loser must flee with serious injuries.

Take a nap

Chimeras are extremely tough; their regenerative abilities are engineered to the extremes. Those Chimeras who suffered serious injuries are able to go into a deep regenerative sleep. Healing and re-growing inner organs and even lost limbs. It can take days, even a week to fully heal all injuries. Or you can check out Uncle Wat’s Bazaar for something...under the table.

The Game

Codename Chimera is a one-on-one fighting game, each Chimera has three physical attributes that are randomly generated by the contract. These attributes are Strength, Stamina and Reflex. In addition, every Chimera is minted with 10 Health Points.

The physical attributes can be improved with each won fight or with special meals, these improvements are recorded on the Ethereum blockchain and remain permanently. Each Chimera retains its properties until the end of time, no matter how many times it is resold and it’s represented in any game.

When a Chimera loses a battle it’s Health Points decrease. This change is also registered on the blockchain. Chimeras can regain Health Points by resting or by meals that can be bought from the appropriate store.

Chimeras have one additional attribute, a secret mental attribute that is not active in the basic game mode.

Codename Chimera Goals

Codename Chimera is a game not just another NFT collection, our goal is to grow and be a real game studio. Developing new game modes, PVE challenges, multiplayer battles and to bring the Aliens to Earth where your Chimeras are really gonna shine.

Of course for collectors a Chimera is still a must have piece. The uniqueness of each transgenic creature who evolves and grows with each battle is a shining treasure in the NFT space.

What is a Chimera?

According to Greek mythology, Chimera is a fearsome monster, composed of different animal parts. In biology Chimera is a single organism composed of cells with more than one genotype. Codename-Chimera subjects are surgically and genetically modified humans with animal traits.

Who are we–the developers?

We are average human beings, obsessed with games and passionate about our work. We try to combine both: to make a living from our obsession and passion.

Why did we create the game?

Seeing the biggest game companies burn and fail made us sad. Their failure gave us gamers the opportunity to breed new life into this space. Thanks to Ethereum and the pioneers in this area like Crypto kitties and Axxie, NFTs are the best thing that has happened in a long time.

What gave you the inspiration?

Good question. When Codename Chimera was born in my head, it was something different. But the main idea came from many things like action figures to tabletop miniatures. From creature feature movies to comic books and role playing games. But I think all this love started with Ray Harryhausen's stop motion creatures that I saw as a child.

What are the rules of the game?

We are going to publish the basic game rules with the game.

What is Metamask? Is it possible to play without it?

Metamask is a cryptocurrency wallet, used for interactions on the Ethereum blockchain. Codename-Chimera users needs to connect a MetaMask in order to complete the transactions in the game.

If I don't have MetaMask, how can I add the wallet to the game?

MetaMask is available as a browser extension and as a mobile app. Hence it is easy and fast to create a wallet.

Can I play on my phone or tablet?

Yes, it is possible to play on pc, tablet and mobile.

What is the next step after switching on MetaMask?

No looking back... you can start minting your Chimera.

What does “minting” mean?

Minting a Chimera means that we create our own Chimera. And this takes only some seconds.

How many Chimeras can be minted in total? Is there a limit?

The exact number of Chimeras is ten thousand and a hundred and one.

How many pieces are in the collection?

I've never counted but it's a bit more than a hundred if we count the lower body variations with tails. And I needed to remove body parts because the permutation is on high for a limited series and I also need traits for the other factions. Oops :) No color variations or lame re-skins. Chimeras have a unique look.

What can be done with the Chimeras?

You can love them, pet them, send them to beat the crap out of other Chimeras. Right now that's all. Of course you can trade them or send them to your friends and family. A Chimera is fun for the whole family :)

Are there secondary royalties?

Royalties, Project Chimera gets 10% share from every second market re-sell.

Is it possible to model rarities?

Yes! It's a big yes. I shuffled the Chimera traits to 3 different rarities. Common, uncommon and rare. The chances are fair, but if somebody wants a perfect look at Medusa or Minotaurus like Chimera. The fitting parts are in different rarity. So good luck to you out there.

What can I do with the Chimera NFTs? Can they be traded?

Sure, Chimeras are compatible with most of the marketplaces out there. Like OpenSea or Rarible.

Why is Chimera a good investment?

Because I'm not giving up developing the game and Chimeras are not just for collectors. Chimeras are digital action figures or characters and I hope someday our Chimeras are going to be present in many games and in the metaverse too. Which metaverse? All of them :)
